Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced the cast for its world premiere of American Idiot. Based on the Grammy Award-winning album of the same name, the show features the music of Green Day and the lyrics of its frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. American Idiot is being staged by Tony Award-winning director Michael Mayer, who also collaborated with Armstrong on the story.

Broadway's Sutton Foster and Jennifer Laura Thompson are among the guest stars appearing in 'Something Just Broke,' the latest episode of Jake Wilson's web series 'The Battery's Down.'

On Sunday, May 17th, Mintyfresh Comedy presented the first annual 'Miss Fag Hag Pageant' as a benefit for the Hetrick-Martin Institute, home of the Harvey Milk School. The show was a huge success and played to a packed house full of Broadway, television, radio and comedy stars.

The May 29th edition welcomed special guest, Guys and Dolls star, model and actor Nick Adams.

The hit online television series, The Battery's Down, will premiere Episode 12, 'It Don't Make Sense,' on Monday, June 1 at Midnight on YouTube and their official website. The show is filmed in a style similar to Curb Your Enthusiasm and chronicles the life of young actor Jake Wilson in New York City.

Broadway Sessions w/ Ben D, the weekly musical theater themed evening at midtown nightclub Therapy, continues May 26th with special guests Rhett George and Alysha Umphress. Rhett George is currently featured in The Little Mermaid at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater.

Tonight May 22nd, THE AFTER PARTY is thrilled to welcome Broadway's JESSICA LEE GOLDYN with a special guest appearance by Broadway's DEIDRE GOODWIN with WILLIAM WADE at the piano.

As previously announced, The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs will celebrate the 23rd Annual MAC Awards on Monday, May 18th at 7:30pm at B.B. King Blues Club (237 West 42nd St, Between Broadway 8th Avenue). This year's performers/presenters include Polly Bergen (Recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award), Klea Blackhurst, Tyne Daly, Karen Mason, Marilyn Maye, John McDaniel, Rex Reed, Steve Ross, and Julie Wilson among others.

Nick Adams has been added to an already impressive group of special guests for the Miss Fag Hag Pageant. He is set to crown the winner as Miss Kathy Fitzgerald sings.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director), winner of a special 2006 Drama Desk Award for 'Vital contributions to theatre by developing and producing new musicals' will present NEO5, a benefit concert celebrating emerging musical theatre writers, on Monday, April 27 at its home in Saint Peter's Theatre. Following the 8 PM performance featuring the voices of many of today's top musical theatre talent, there will be a champagne and dessert reception to end the evening catered by Kitchenette.

The hit, online television series THE BATTERY'S DOWN, presented an evening of musical comedy at Joe's Pub entitled: SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE: musical comedy... rethought. April 19th. The evening was directed by Connor Gallagher with musical direction by Adam Laird and was produced by Jake Wilson and Jason Knight.
