Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz are partnering with The Opportunity Network, a New York City nonprofit, to put high-achieving, low-income students on the road to the top colleges and successful careers, the organization announced today.

New York City Center is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Fall for Dance Festival with a very special season, beginning with two FREE evenings of dance at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, hosted by The Public Theater, onSeptember 16 and 17 (Rain date, September 18). The Festival will continue at City Center from September 25 ­ October 5 with performances by 20 acclaimed dance companies and artists from around the world, including three new works from today¹s most exciting young choreographers, commissioned by City Center, in celebration of the tenth anniversary, all for the low ticket price of $15. The Festival¹s many free pre-show events will include dance lessons and panels by choreographers, artists and dance educators. Tickets will go on sale Sunday, September 8 at 11 a.m.

On May 7th, Ailey returned to Harlem's world-famous Apollo Theater for a one-night-only event which featured performances by the world-renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, rising stars of Ailey II, gifted young dancers from The Ailey School, and talented students from AileyCamp Washington Heights and Newark. Ailey's 2013 Spring Gala marked the first time all tiers of the organization have come together to perform on one stage. Scroll down for photos from the event!

On Friday, May 31, 2013 at 5:15pm, American Repertory Ballet will host a free lecture, 'Dancer Nutrition', as part of its On Pointe Enrichment Series. Artists of American Repertory Ballet and Princeton Ballet School will discuss how dancers and non-dancers alike should eat for peak daily performance.

Dzul Dance announces the premiere of their latest choreography, Mexico MAYA, in honor of the Company's ten year anniversary. The performance will be presented at the Gerald Lynch Theater at John Jay College in Manhattan tonight, May 3, 2013 at 8:00 PM.

Thodos Dance Chicago will celebrate 13 years of dance creation with its annual New Dances performance series, July 19-21, 2013 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street, Chicago. Performances are Friday and Saturday, July 19 and 20 at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, July 21 at 5 pm. Randy James' new dance company, 10 Hairy Legs, will have its New York City Debut at New York Live Arts, May 30, 31, June 1 at 7:30 pm and June 2 at 2:00 pm.

American Repertory Ballet will perform in New Jersey Performing Arts Center's second annual Jersey Moves! Festival of Dance. The performance will be tonight, April 27, 2013 at 7:30pm at NJPAC's Victoria Theater. ARB will be performing Gerald Arpino's Viva Vivaldi. This charming, virtuosic work in the classical ballet vocabulary will share the stage with Irish dance presented by Timothy Kochka and The Davis Academy, Indian dance by Bani Ray and her dancers, tap by New Jersey Tap Ensemble, and contemporary dance by Dance Tactics and Nimbus Dance Works.

Rose Caiola, Stuart Coleman, Julia Gruen, Heather Watts, Christopher Wheeldon and producers Erin Fogarty and Daniel Ulbricht present the third annual Dance Against Cancer on Monday, May 6, 2013 with cocktails at 6pm (VIP ticket only), a performance at 7pm, and a reception at 8:30pm at the AXA Equitable Theater, 787 Seventh Avenue (between 51st and 52nd Streets), NYC. The Seattle Theatre Group, (STG) has announced the upcoming 2013-2014 season, with a fair amount of focus on performances taking place at a revitalized Moore Theatre. History has been made at The Moore and the future is about to get a bit brighter. This season offers a great opportunity for renewing a relationship with the oldest operating theatre in the city. STG is making transformative improvements that will significantly expand comfort and dramatically increase the ability for smaller, more 'off-Broadway' style productions, including those produced by local theatre companies, to take place at The Moore.

The Westside Center for Independent Living (WCIL) Associates raised $30,000 at a Sold Out fundraising event held on Friday, April 19th both at the Beverly Hills Tennis Club and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion where guests enjoyed a performance of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater said Jenn Steip, Development Director for WCIL. The performance was part of the series Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at the Music Center celebrating the 55th Anniversary of the critically acclaimed dance company.

Devon Carney, Associate Artistic Director of the Cincinnati Ballet, and Yves de Bouteiller, former principal dancer of the Milwaukee Ballet and Ballet du Nord, will be on the faculty for the Shreveport Metropolitan Ballet's Summer Intensive from July 22-26, 2013 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Maria Youskevitch, longtime faculty member at Princeton Ballet School, is one of this year's American Repertory Ballet Gala Honorees, and is the recipient of this year's Audree Estey Award for Excellence in Dance Education. Daughter of one of the leading dancers of the 20th century, Igor Youskevitch, Ms. Youskevitch brings a strong background in and deep knowledge of ballet to her students. She teaches for a variety of levels and, every year, re-stages a full-length classical ballet on Princeton Ballet School students for the School's Spring Production. She has also served as Rehearsal Director for American Repertory Ballet, the professional company associated with Princeton Ballet School, on several occasions.

PHILADANCO returns to the Kimmel Center for Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts, today, April 19-21, 2013. In keeping with PIFA's theme, Where In Time Would You Like To Be, PHILADANCO is excited to debut Christopher Huggins' newly commissioned ballet, 'The Big Bang.'
