The Castaway Players Theatre Company, 'the alternative theatre company of the Hudson Valley', presents the classic rock opera, The Who's TOMMY, at The CENTER for Performing Arts in Rhinebeck, NY. On Monday, February 2nd at 9:30pm, performers will gather to perform A-Sides: The Songs of Anna K. Jacobs at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre will hold its Winter Benefit on Monday, December 1st at The Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd Street). The festive evening entitled 'Catch A Rising Star' will be emceed by legendary Broadway song and dance man Lee Roy Reams and will feature musical performances by eight young up-and-coming Broadway talents. The evening will kick off at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by the show at 7:00 p.m.

The York Theatre Company just presented its one-night only benefit concert, NEO 10, celebrating up and coming musical theatre writers, on Monday evening, June 2, 2014 The York Theatre Company's home at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). The NEO 10 concert featured songs by this year's NEO writers: Bobby Cronin, Gabriel Kahane, Shaina Taub, andSam Willmott. The evening will also include songs by guest writers (and past NEO honorees) Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The evening, directed by Annette Jolles, with music direction by David Shenton, included previously announced performances by Starr Busby, Liz Callaway, Kate Ferber, Grace Mclean, Andy Mientus, Kristin Sieh, Phillipa Soo, and the ensemble from Marymount Manhattan College. At This Performance will feature 13 of Broadway's current understudies, standbys and alternates in tonight's performance. At This Performance is a series of showcases that give actors working in current Broadway and Off-Broadway productions the opportunity to take to the stage and sing both a song from their show and from their repertoire, and answer questions about the life of a Broadway performer.

The Broadway production of A Night With Janis Joplin plays its final performance tonight, Sunday, February 9 at 7PM at the Lyceum Theatre. The show has played 22 preview performances and 141 regular performances since beginning previews on Friday, September 20 and opening on Thursday, October 10. A Night With Janis Joplin will move to a new home in New York City this March.

A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN, the new Broadway musical, is celebrating Joplin's birthday with special activities at the theatre and online on Sunday, January 19.At the theatre for both the matinee and evening performances, there will be a special photo booth, supplied by Top Hat Photo Booths, where audience members can write special messages in honor of Joplin's birthday and take photos with the messages. Following the performance the cast will give a special birthday salute to Joplin. For the evening performance only, there will be custom Joplin birthday cupcakes for audience members as they leave the theatre supplied by Sugarush in Red Bank.

Broadway Records just announced the release of the Original Broadway Cast Recording of the critically acclaimed, A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN on the occasion of the iconic musician's birthday celebration. The album will be available digitally on January 17, and the CD is currently available at the Lyceum Theatre. The album is also available for pre-orders at Amazon.com and the official show website.

Tomorrow evening, January 4, A Night With Janis Joplin, the new Broadway musical, will celebrate its 100th regular performance at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street).

Mary Bridget Davies, star of the new Broadway musical A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN, appeared on ABC's "World News Now" late last night.
