Brian Stokes Mitchell is set to host a virtual concert fundraiser for the Erie Playhouse - I Miss the Music - Broadway Salutes the Erie Playhouse. Beth Leavel and Alice Ripley will take part along with a wide range of artists from Hamilton, Frozen, Wicked, Hadestown, Ain't Too Proud, Beautiful, Come From Away, Les Miserables, and more.

New Operas About Memphis Come to Midtown Opera Festival

Opera Memphis will present a series of new operas about Memphis, The Opera 901 Showcase, during the 2018 Midtown Opera Festival at Playhouse on the Square April 6-14. This year's Festival will also include a rarely performed opera by Alessandro Scarlatti and a full range of Fringe events designed to satisfy any lover of the performing arts. Alice Barrett Mitchell Joins Cast of FOR MAMMA at Theater for the New City

Alice Barrett Mitchell has been cast as Pia in For Mamma, a new stage play that explores the plight of a biracial gay man's struggle to keep his mother alive while dealing with government red tape and a caseworker's prejudice. The piece is being presented as part of a Scratch Night at Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Artistic Director).
