TODAY's Hoda Kotb sat down with John Legend, Sara Bareilles, Brandon Victor Dixon and composer Andrew Lloyd Webber to talk about their live performance of "Jesus Christ Supertar Live in Concert," which attracted more than 10 million viewers. Webber says he's "never been so proud of 'Superstar' in his life," which Legend calls "the best compliment we could get' on TODAY. Watch the clip below!

A&E Network will premiere the original 'Biography' documentary special 'David Cassidy: The Last Session,' which intertwines an intimate biography of the late David Cassidy as told through his own words in never-before-heard audio tapes from 1976 with a raw and poignantly filmed final recording session. Late last year, grappling with the onset of dementia and headed into the studio to record a tribute to his father, Jack Cassidy, David invited a documentary film crew to chronicle the journey. During production David fell gravely and unexpectedly ill and it was during this time, he revealed to producers that his struggle with alcoholism had continued up through the recording session, and that his doctors had concluded that alcohol poisoning had likely been the chief cause of his tragic health decline, including his dementia. He would tragically pass away a few weeks later. The two-hour, 'Biography' special 'David Cassidy: The Last Session' will premiere on Monday, June 11 at 9PM ET/PT on A&E.

On the 30th Anniversary of their platinum album, Blow My Fuse, Maryland hard rock icons, KIX will releaseFuse 30 Reblown on September 21, 2018, exactly 30 years after Blow My Fuse's original September 19, 1988 release date. KIX announced the release from the stage of the M3 Rock Festival where the band performed Blow My Fuse in its entirety last weekend to their hometown crowd.

Transgressive queer singer/performer CHRISTEENE returns with her second album 'Basura', which will be released worldwide on May 22nd and will be available digitally on all platforms and special edition limited vinyl.'Basura'was produced by Peter Stopchinski in Austin, TX, with contributions from veteran Austin musician/composer Graham Reynolds and Thomàs Suire of the French band Infecticide. Following up her raw and singular 2012 debut album 'Waste Up Kneez Down', this second album (the title of which translates from Spanish as 'trash') contains thirteen new songs that are unapologetically queer, primal, and celebratory.CHRISTEENE will play a special record release live show on May 26th in Austin, TX, at the Museum of Human Achievement,and appear in select live U.S. shows throughout the summer. On July 28, she will begin a European summer/fall tour at the Milkshake Festival in Amsterdam, and tour throughout Europe. A full U.S. tour will follow in 2019.

The ASCAP Pop Awards are always a good time, but this year's ceremony on April 23 was truly a night to remember. We gave out special honors to some of the brightest lights in music: iconic hitmaker Desmond Child (Founders Award), Portugal. The Man (Vanguard Award) and pop chanteuse Lana Del Rey (Global Impact Award), plus our four Songwriter of the Year honorees, Starrah, Drew Taggart, Steve Mac and Max Martin - and celebrated the writers and publishers of the most-performed songs of 2017. Universal Music Publishing Group was named Publisher of the Year, and BMG took home Independent Publisher of the Year honors for the third consecutive year.

ASCAP, the American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers, hosted its 35th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards on Monday, April 23, recognizing four impressive songwriting talents with a 2018 ASCAP Pop Music Songwriter of the Year award, each for their individual achievement in crafting some of the most popular songs of 2017. Steve Mac won for 'Shape of You' (Ed Sheeran), 'Strip That Down' (Liam Payne ft. Quavo), 'Rockabye' (Clean Bandit ft. Sean Paul) and 'What About Us' (P!nk); Max Martin, receiving the award for an unprecedented 11th time, for 'Side To Side' (Ariana Grande), 'Can't Stop The Feeling!' (Justin Timberlake), 'Send My Love' (Adele) and 'Just Like Fire' (P!nk); Starrah for 'Now or Never' (Halsey), 'Fake Love' (Drake), 'What Lovers Do' (Maroon 5 ft. SZA) and 'Havana' (Camila Cabello); and Drew Taggart for '1-800-273-8255' (Logic ft. Alessia Cara and Khalid) in addition to three hits by his band, The Chainsmokers: 'Something Just Like This' (ft.  Legends will collide late this summer when Deep Purple and Judas Priest embark on a co-headlining North American tour.
