Script in Hand Productions Remain Popular at the Playhouse

Casting is announced for the Script in Hand playreading of 'Pack of Lies,' a provocative spy thriller, at Westport Country Playhouse, on Monday, March 10, 7 p.m. Actors, all alumni of previous Playhouse productions, include 'House of Cards' stars Jayne Atkinson and Michel Gill, and four-time Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines, as well as Kathleen McNenny, Alexis Molnar, Mark Shanahan, and Zoe Winters. Tickets are $15. Based on a true story, the play is written by Hugh Whitemore and directed by Anne Keefe.

Westport Country Playhouse stages the world premiere of a new comedy, "Harbor," written by two-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin and directed by Playhouse artistic director Mark Lamos, now through September 15. The cast includes Tony Award nominee Bobby Steggert (Broadway's "Ragtime"), Emmy Award nominee Paul Anthony Stewart ("Guiding Light"), Kate Nowlin and Alexis Molnar. Westport Country Playhouse will stage the world premiere of a new comedy, "Harbor," written by two-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin and directed by Playhouse artistic director Mark Lamos, August 28 - September 15. The cast includes Tony Award nominee Bobby Steggert (Broadway's "Ragtime"), Emmy Award nominee Paul Anthony Stewart ("Guiding Light"), Kate Nowlin and Alexis Molnar.

Jonathan Groff (Glee, Spring Awakening, etc.) joined the Broadway Artists Alliance as a special guest on Monday, January 17th for a Glee-themed master class. After an engaging Q&A, students Emily Pisarra and Alexis Molnar sang for him and received valuable feedback. Just before meeting Groff, the young talent of Broadway's future learned choreography from Glee. The afternoon was spent in an advanced audition technique workshop with a casting representative from Jim Carnahan Casting.
