The Second City's SHE THE PEOPLE Returns With Updated Material

The Second City's knockout show She the People: The Resistance Continues is electrifying UP Comedy Club with a refreshed name, updated material, new cast members, and all of its signature witty, empowering bite. The all-female, all-funny show directed by Carly Heffernan welcomes Mary Catherine Curran, Sayjal Joshi, and Kaye Winks who join original cast members Carisa Barreca, Alex Bellisle, and Katie Caussin.

Porchlight Music Theatre welcomed a sold out crowd at the 13th Annual Chicago Sings concert fundraiser; Chicago Sings The MGM Musicals, held Monday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m., at Second City's UP Comedy Club, 230 W. North Ave, direction by Keely Vasquez, music direction by Porchlight Artistic Associate Beckie Menzie, stage management by Jake Allen Miller and sound design Robert Hornbostel. Monday's event was the company's most successful Chicago Sings to date. Sales from this one-night-only performance benefit Porchlight Music Theatre's youth educational and community outreach programming raising more than $54,000.

Flying Elephant Productions has announced its inaugural season, launching this winter with the world premiere of WE THE PEOPLE SONGS OF THE RESISTANCE, a political song cycle about the 2016 election, which takes audiences from the conventions through election night and its immediate aftermath into the realization of Trump's America and finally, a call to action from We The People.

The Second City Announces Casting for SHE THE PEOPLE and UP Comedy Club's Complete Winter Lineup

The Second City announces complete casting for the return of The Second City's She the People: Girlfriends' Guide to Sisters Doing It for Themselves, a sketch show created, designed and performed entirely by the women of Second City. Back by popular demand, She the People features Carisa Barreca, Alex Bellisle, Katie Caussin, Maria Randazzo, Alexis J Roston and Kimberly Michelle Vaughn. Under the direction of Carly Heffernan with musical direction by Mary Mahoney, She the People runs January 11 April 1, 2018, in The Second City's UP Comedy Club, with the press opening on Thursday, January 18th at 8pm. Chicago Talent to Unite for A Puerto Rico Benefit Concert

Chicago theatre talent comes together for Unidos: Puerto Rico Benefit Concert. This one-night-only charity event will be held at 8:00pm on Monday October 30, 2017 at Uptown Underground, 4707 N Broadway St in Chicago. All proceeds will help aid hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico through the Hispanic Federation.
