From 3 September 2013, James Clyde will join the adult company in London as Mr Wormwood, Lisa Davina Phillip as Mrs Phelps and Joshua Wyatt as Michael Wormwood. As previously announced, they will join Olivier Award nominated Canadian actor Alex Gaumond in the role of Miss Trunchbull and Kay Murphy as Mrs Wormwood.

He may be Canadian - but he's an adopted Londoner currently playing an Italian in Top Hat, so we thought it was about time we caught up with him to find out what this is all about...

Douglas Hodge stars as Willy Wonka in the brand-new production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London. Directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes, the story is brought to life with music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman (Grammy winners for Hairspray; Smash), with a book by award-winning playwright and adaptor David Greig (The Bacchae; Tintin In Tibet). The shows opened last night, June 25 and you can check out photos from the opening night curtain call and after party below!

Alex Gaumond will join the company in the role of Miss Trunchbull and Kay Murphy will play Mrs Wormwood from 3 September 2013. Haley Flaherty will continue in the role of Miss Honey until 7 September 2014. Further casting will be announced soon.

Gavin Lee and Kristen Beth Williams are leading the new cast of the West End hit musical Top Hat as Jerry Travers and Dale Tremont. They are joined by Olivier award nominee Alex Gaumond as Alberto Beddini and Clive Hayward as Horace Hardwick, with Vivien Parry (Madge) and Stephen Boswell (Bates) continuing in the production. Vivien Parry continues as Madge Hardwick and Stephen Boswell as Horace's valet Bates.
