Clifford Odets built a career off of writing dramas that dealt with class inequality and social injustice in the depression era. His first ever produced play, "Waiting for Lefty", certainly falls into that category. And while the current production from Theatre9/12 does manage some stirring performances, they can't escape the bleak nature of the play itself as Odets drives home over and over the inescapable nature of the era.
The recently-formed Tennessee Williams Theatre Company of New Orleans will present Small Craft Warnings, an introspective and comedic play written late in Tennessee Williams' life. The raucous yet touching production stars LaKesha Glover (as Leona), James Wright (as Monk), Robert Alan Mitchell (as Doc), Bob Edes, Jr. (as Quentin), Natalie Jones (as Violet), Jordan Kaplan (as Steve), Gavin Robinson (as Bobby), and Matt Madden (as Bill). It will be directed by TWTC Co-Artistic Director Augustin J Correro.

Meanwhile, an American woman in the 1980s shares a similar set of concerns during the Reagan administration. Directed by Laura Elleseg, this production looks at how history changes-and how it stays the same.

For this heart-warming and humorous coming-of-age story from Catherine Wheels Theatre Company, audiences will be seated on the New Vic stage for a truly interactive and up-close experience.
Award-winning executive producer/writer Rodney Barnes (The Boondocks, Everybody Hates Chris) teams up with acclaimed comics creator Alan Robert to develop an animated television series based on Robert's hit IDW Publishing graphic novel Killogy. Barnes and Robert will serve as executive producers on the series, with Barnes penning the screenplay for the pilot. Celebrities Frank Vincent (Goodfellas, Casino, The Sopranos), Marky Ramone (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, the Ramones) and Brea Grant (Heroes, Dexter), who all appeared as main characters in the graphic novel, will now lend their voices to the show. Producers Chris White (My Super Psycho Sweet 16 franchise) and Jeff Mazzola (Descent) are also on board.

Chapter Two will run Friday, March 14, 2014 until Sunday, March 30, 2014. Friday and Saturday showings are at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm. This show is recommended for ages 13 and up.
