Tony-winning KINKY BOOTS composer Cyndi Lauper just hosted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on reddit this evening, during which she revealed she will be celebrating 30 years of 'She's So Unusual' with a vinyl, CD box set and remix EP re-issue. Plus, her 4th annual HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS benefit concert is set for December 6th at NYC's Beacon Theatre. Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson Coming to Merriam Theater in 2015

Celebrated astrophysicist, author and science communicator Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson brings his space-centered and family-friendly U.S. speaking tour to Philadelphia on February 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Merriam Theater. The Emmy Award winning Tyson is host of FOX's 2014 Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey series and radio show StarTalk. Tyson will share his passion for astrophysics, astronomy, and cosmology in an evening of engaging conversation on science, exploration, and the world as we know it.

David Madden Named President of Entertainment for FOX Broadcasting Company

Fox Television Group Chairmen and CEOs Gary Newman and Dana Walden announced today that they have promoted Joe Earley to Chief Operating Officer for Fox Television Group (FTG) and appointed David Madden President of Entertainment for Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX).

Alan Rickman, Mark Rylance, Lindsay Duncan & More Lend Voices toSt Mary's Church Audio-Guide Tour

The windows in St Mary's Church, Fairford, represent the most complete set of medieval stained glass windows in any parish church in England. They were described by the Chair of the National Trust Sir Simon Jenkins as: "One of England's out-standing galleries of Church art" and the late Poet Laureate, Sir John Betjeman, chose the lower half of the Great West Window as the luxury he wished to take to his desert island when he appeared on BBC radio 4's Desert Island Discs.

THE LONG SHRIFT, Directed by James Franco, Begins Tonight at Rattlestick

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater's Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long previously announced that the World Premiere of The Long Shrift, written by Robert Boswell and directed by James Franco, would begin previews tonight, July 7th, 2014. The official opening night is set for July 13th, 2014 and closing night is August 23rd, 2014.

Braden Abraham Named Acting Artistic Director of Seattle Rep

Seattle Repertory Theatre's Board of Trustees announced today Braden Abraham's appointment as Acting Artistic Director, effective immediately. Abraham formerly served as Associate Artistic Director and has been on the artistic staff of Seattle Rep since 2003. The appointment, extending through June 30, 2016, comes on the heels of the death of Artistic Director Jerry Manning, who passed away suddenly in April.
