The Roustabouts Theatre Co presents ROMEO, ROMEO & JULIET

What happens when Shakespeare's iconic, star-crossed lovers get a third wheel? A tangled triangle of unrequited love! In this fun and fizzy romantic comedy, a rehearsal room becomes a hilarious hothouse for palpable passion, witty repartee, and comedic conflict as the Bard's glorious language inspires the hopeless romantic in us all.

Nightmarish Fever Dream Comes to Seattle In THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY

Book-It Repertory Theatre brings a fluid, minimalist production of The Picture of Dorian Gray to Seattle in June. Directed by Victor Pappas, the famously dark 1890 novel by Oscar Wilde was adapted for the stage by Judd Parkin. Pappas calls this production a horror story about the danger one's soul is in among the corrupting influences of society.

THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY Comes to City Lit, 3/11

Edwards's world premiere adaptation of THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY, Oscar Wilde's story of a man who sells his soul for unaging beauty, transports the story from the novel's setting of Victorian-era England to 1970's New York City, during the dawning of the AIDS and crack cocaine epidemics.

BWW Review: Theater Project Tackles THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY

The professional ensemble of Brunswick's Theater Project once again demonstrates its affinity for drama with classic literary origins. Its 2018 production of The Picture of Dorian Gray, adapted by Merlin Holland and John O'Connor, offers a convincing, often compelling account of Oscar Wilde's famous novel.

DORIAN GREY Moves to '70s NYC in City Lit Adaptation

Paul Edwards's world premiere adaptation of THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY, Oscar Wilde's story of a man who sells his soul for unaging beauty, transports the story from the novel's setting of Victorian-era England to 1970's New York City, during the dawning of the AIDS and crack cocaine epidemics. THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY, to be directed by Andrea J. Dymond, will feature Javier Ferreira (Shakespeare in HER MAJESTY'S WILL and Henry Olney in NORTHANGER ABBEY, both at Lifeline) in the title role. Gabriel Fries, who recently appeared in Nothing Without a Company's THE KID THING, will be Basil, the painter of the eponymous portrait that on the canvas not only shows its subject aging, but also shows Gray's sins, while in life Gray himself remains young and attractive.
