Theatre & Engagement Conference Held As Part Of Woolly Mammoth Season 30 Focus

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company is spending SEASON 30, its 30th season of producing provocative new plays in the nation's capital, looking forward to the future of 30 more years. Programs and events during the course of SEASON 30 include exploring new ways to engage with audiences and the DC community at large in keeping with Woolly's mission to 'ignite an explosive engagement between theatre artists and the community.'

Steeple Players to Host Auditions for FOOTLOOSE, THE MUSICAL

Roles are available for actors, dancers and singers of all ages (children, teens, and adults). Auditionees should prepare 16 bars of an up-tempo song. Pre-recorded accompaniment is preferred, but an accompanist will also be provided, and auditionees should be dressed in clothing appropriate for movement and be prepared to learn a short dance combination. Resumes and headshots will be accepted, but they are not required.

Mee's FULL CIRCLE To Premiere at Woolly Mammoth Theatre, 10/26

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company continues Season 30, the 2009-10 Season, with a creative staging of FULL CIRCLE by Charles L. Mee (Big Love, bobrauschenbergamerica) that will be performed throughout the Woolly facility.

Woolly Mammoth's SEASON 30 Focuses on New Play Development and Community Engagement

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company is spending SEASON 30, it's 30th season of producing provocative new plays in the nation's capital, looking forward to the future of 30 more years, with a few glances back to celebrate some of the theatre's noteworthy achievements. Programs during the course of SEASON 30 include exploring new ways to engage with audiences and the DC community at large, as well as growing the theatre's new play development initiatives, all in keeping with Woolly's mission to 'ignite an explosive engagement between theatre artists and the community.'

CALL ME MADAM Opens 9/26 At 42nd Street Moon

Who's the hostess with the mostes' in San Francisco? On September 26, the answer will be belted out when San Francisco's only professional musical theatre company, 42nd Street Moon (www.42ndstreetmoon.org) opens its much-anticipated 2009 / 2010 season with Irving Berlin's classic take on the Washington, DC political-and-social set, Call Me Madam starring international cabaret and concert star Klea Blackhurst in the role made famous by Ethel Merman.

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company Opens Its 30th Season With ECLIPSED 9/6

Eclipsed runs August 31 - September 27, 2009, with Pay-What-You-Can performances on August 31 and September 1 at 8pm. (Note: these performances dates are changed since our original season announcement. No extension possible). Woolly Mammoth is located at 641 D Street, NW (7th & D).
