Following a sold-out run at The Public Theater, ECLIPSED will begin previews on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, with opening night set for March 6, 2016 on Broadway at the Golden Theatre (252 W. 45th Street). Producers Stephen C. Byrd and Alia Jones-Harvey announced today that the critically acclaimed Broadway boundEclipsed will today launch a campaign to bring 10,000 girls to see the show.  Through the '10,000 Girls Campaign,' girls from the Tri-State area between ages 16 to 24, who would not otherwise have the opportunity to experience a Broadway show, will be given tickets to see Eclipsed.

Eclipsed makes history during Black History Month.  Holding the special distinction of being led by the only two African-American lead producers on Broadway, Stephen Byrd and Alia Jones-Harvey, Eclipsed will be the first show in Broadway history with an entirely female cast and creative team, and further: an entirely Black cast and creative team.  Eclipsed begins previews later this month.

Actress, television personality and best-selling author Alani 'LaLa' Anthony - in her highly anticipated Broadway producing debut - has joined the producing team of the new American play Eclipsed by Danai Gurira, BroadwayWorld has confirmed.
