ABC Is Up Week To Week In Viewers And Young Adults

During the week of April 12, 2010, ABC delivered 6 of the Top 20 TV programs in Adults 18-49, including 3 of the Top 10: 'Dancing with the Stars' - No. 5, 'Lost' - No. 8, 'Modern Family' - No. 10, 'Desperate Housewives' - No. 11, 'Castle' - No. 15 and 'DWTS the Results Show' - No. 20. The Net also claimed 3 of the week's Top 10 most-watched shows overall: 'Dancing with the Stars' - No. 3, 'DWTS the Results Show' - No. 6 and 'Castle' - No. 10 .

ABC Sees Tuesday Ratings Against 'IDOL' Grow With 'DANCING' Results Show & 'LOST'

With its line-up of DWTS the Results, Lost and V, ABC grew its Tuesday numbers year to year for the 3rd week in a row. ABC's results were up over the same Tuesday last year (4/14/09), also a night of all-original programming, by 10% in Total Viewers (9.6 million vs. 8.7 million) and by 32% in Adults 18-49 (2.9/8 vs. 2.2/6).

In the fourth week of competition in "Dancing with the Stars'" 10th season, the 9 remaining teams were challenged by "The Double Score Showdown." Throughout the evening, competitors received two scores, one for technique and one for performance.

After last weeks' shocking elimination of Shannen Doherty, the dancers on season 10 of 'Dancing With the Stars' held their breath to see who would be the next to go. Buzz Aldrin, who received the lowest number of votes from the judges, was kicked off this week. Surprisingly, Jake Pavelka, who received a 21 from the judges, joined him in the bottom two.

In the third week of Dancing with the Stars' 10th season, each of the couples was challenged to tell a story through their routines. Many teams fell in the middle of the road in terms of scoring, while Even Lysacek and Trebunskaya received the highest scores and Aldrin and Costa the lowest for the third week in a row.

'Dancing with the Stars' kicked off its 10th season last night on ABC with 11 stars hoping to make a big impression from the get go. While tabloid queen Kate Gosselin vowed to prove to her children that she could dance, Kate and partner Tony Dovolani fell short of perfect with a score of only 16 from the judges.
