The announcement that a revival of FUNNY GIRL was in the works last season opened the floodgates of speculation as to who would be reprising the iconic role of 'Fanny Brice,' made famous by Barbra Streisand. While the theatrical community was buzzing about Idina Menzel, Lea Michele, Laura Benanti, Shoshana Bean, Ana Gasteyer and Leslie Kritzer - to name a few - the Center Theatre Group announced that it was conducting an online search for the show's star. Production officials have been mum on any leads.

The Orange County Performing Arts Center and producers Cameron Mackintosh and Thomas Schumacher announced today that the award-winning musical MARY POPPINS will begin performances at Segerstrom Hall in Costa Mesa on Thursday, July 14, 2011 for a limited engagement of three weeks through Sunday, July 31, 2011.
