Actor/Playwright Doug Haverty Talks About My Three Angels and His Busy 2011

Actor/playwright Doug Haverty has had a very busy 2011 both on stage and off. He discusses the local productions given his musicaliGhost and play Next Window, Please and his acting roles in two GRT productions: the recently closed Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None and the upcoming My Three Angels, set to open December 9.

THE MOUSETRAP Announces 60th Anniversary Tour, Licensing and More

For over 50 years, Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap has been the world's longest running stage production. Today the record-breaking production will enter its 60th year in London's West End, and on 25 November 2012 will celebrate the actual 60th Birthday with a gala in aid of Mousetrap Theatre Projects.

Acorn TV Streams Hugh Laurie's Pre-House Series, 11/14

On Monday, Nov. 14th, Acorn TV, the first streaming service specializing in British television, adds the complete series of Hugh Laurie's hilarious pre-House doctor series Fortysomething, co-starring Anna Chancellor (BBC's The Hour); and, the first season of one of Acorn's first-rate, non-British series, the universally acclaimed Canadian series Slings & Arrows, called 'Outrageously Entertaining' (NPR), 'Absolutely addictive' (The New York Times), and 'One of the finest series ever made' (San Francisco Chronicle) and starring Paul Gross (currently in Broadway's 'Private Lives,' Due South), Mark McKinney (The Kids in the Hall), and Rachel McAdams (The Notebook).

Way Off Broadway and Walkersville Southern Offer First Public Mystery Train

Earlier this year, The Way Off Broadway Dinner Theatre, through its outside theatrical producing division, WOB LIVE! Entertainment, and Walkersville Southern Railroad formed a partnership to produce Interactive Mystery Trains for the railroad in addition to its other excursions and dinner trains.

The Yardley Players presents 'And Then There Were None,' based on the Agatha Christie classic 'Ten Little Indians,' at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre on Friday October14 at 8 p.m.; tonight and October 15 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Oct. 9 and 16 at 2 p.m.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater Announces Extension of MURDER FOR TWO-A KILLER MUSICAL Through November 27

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announced today that its celebrated premiere comedy Murder for Two-A Killer Musical will be extended into its sixth month through November 27, 2011, Upstairs at Chicago Shakespeare. Nominated for four Joseph Jefferson Awards, including Best New Work-Musical or Revue, this 90-minute Agatha Christie-like whodunit musical comes with a surprising twist: one actor plays the inspector, the other plays all 10 suspects, and both play the piano. Created by Joe Kinosian (music/book) and Kellen Blair (lyrics/book), Murder for Two-A Killer Musical currently features Kinosian as the slew of hilarious would-be criminals. Beginning on October 19, Adam Overett will take over for Alan Schmuckler in the role of Officer Marcus Moscowicz.
