CNN reports that Director Tony Scott died in an apparent suicide yesterday. The director was bet known for the films 'Top Gun' and 'Beverly Hills Cop.'

GPR Records will release a recording of Catherine Zeta-Jones narrating The Runaway Bunny, based on the best selling children's classic by Margaret Wise Brown. Also on the CD will be English Baritone Mark Stone singing Goodnight Moon and a special guest superstar narrating Poulenc's Babar, The Elephant. The CD will be released on November 15th, will be available at www.GPRRecords.com, Amazon, and iTunes.

In an interview with USA Today, DANCING WITH THE STARS fan favorite Derek Hough revealed that the upcoming 'All-Star' edition of the show might be his last. The three-time champion shared with USA Today, 'This season is kind of my swan song. It's my last hurrah.'

Variety reports that Jason Bateman is set to make his directorial debut for the film BAD WORDS, an indie comedy that will be produced by Bateman's Aggregate Films and Darko Entertainment.

President of MTV, Stephen Friedman will also be on hand to accept the Trevor 2020 Award for MTV at "Trevor Live" in New York, (Pier 60, Chelsea Piers). This high-profile annual event benefits the life-saving, life-affirming work of The Trevor Project, providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) teens and young adults. Adam Shankman's ROCK OF AGES, which opened last weekend, brought in an additional $8 million in its second weekend, according to Boxofficemojo. As Broadwayworld previously reported, the musical earned $14.4 million in its opening weekend, and a total of $28,763,000. The movie took fifth place (behind Brave, Madagascar 3, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Prometheus), having the sixth-highest opening ever for a musical.

Warner Brothers Pictures (Philippines) released the much awaited stage-to-screen adaptation of "Rock of Ages" one day ahead of the United States. The film stars Tom Cruise as Stacee Jaxx, Diego Boneta, Julianne Hough, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin, Mary J. Blige, Brian Cranston, Malin Ackerman, Paul Giamatti, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
