Austin Jewish Repertory Theater, TILT Performance Group, and Congregation Beth Israel present AS BUTTERFLIES, A New Musical, from May 7-22, 2016.

The New Jersey Chapter of Autism Speaks, the world's leading autism science and advocacy organization, will host the 2016 Northern New Jersey Autism Speaks Walk on Sunday, May 22 at Metlife Stadium.

This year's BROADWAY BACKWARDS (#broadwaybackwards) took the stage last night at Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street, NYC), home to the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Kinky Boots. The evening is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefits BC/EFA and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York. Broadway legend and two-time Tony Award winner Chita Rivera, Tony nominees Stephanie J. Block and Tony Sheldon, Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple, 'Orange is the New Black'), and Laura Michelle Kelly (Finding Neverland) are among those joining the stunning cast of this year's BROADWAY BACKWARDS, a one-night-only musical celebration, custom-made for the LGBT community, our friends and families. Tony winner Julie White, a longtime supporter of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will host this year's 11th edition.

This past Monday, the BROADWAY SINGS concert series presented its 10th show withBroadway Sings Billy Joel. A cast of 20 Broadway stars sang completely new arrangements of the Piano Man's greatest hits. The performers were accompanied by a jazz orchestra playing original orchestrations. Previous artists honored in the series include Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Sara Bareilles.

BroadwayWorld is happy to report that some of the brightest talents of Broadway are joining the cast of this year's BROADWAY BACKWARDS, BC/EFA's annual celebration where gays and lesbians experience their stories as told through the great songs of musical theatre and performed by their favorite Broadway stars.

?Broadway Backwards, the annual celebration where the LGBT community see its stories told through the great songs of musical theatre by celebrated Broadway performers, will return for its 11th edition on Monday, March 21, 2016.

Producers have announced that Mark Stuart Dance Theatre's critically acclaimed new dance musical, Standard Time, will extend its limited engagement at The Duke on 42nd Street (229 W 42nd Street) in NYC two additional weeks, now through Sunday, December 20, 2015. The new dance musical, which Dance Magazine called "Spectacular," features direction and choreography by award-winning choreographer Mark Stuart (Women on the Verge..., The Bandstand). Birdland presents Apollo Link in 'Dressed In Holiday Style' - An Album Release Concert on Monday, December 14th, 2015. Following the success of last winter's 'We Three Kings' and 'Apollo Link: Live at Birdland' earlier this year, Apollo Link proudly makes their triumphant return to the Birdland stage to celebrate the release of their debut album, 'Dressed In Holiday Style.' Join Brandon, Adam, and Jake for a night of laughs, surprises, giveaways, never before heard arrangements, and so much more! The evening will feature classic holiday songs you know and love with that Apollo Link twist. Limited special edition copies of 'Dressed In Holiday Style' will be available exclusively at Birdland on the evening of the show.

Ground Floor Theatre, Central Texas' newest theatre company announces its inaugural production, a concert version of the hit musical PARADE with book by Alfred Uhry  and music/lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, December 3-5 at 8:00 pm with a Saturday matinee at 2pm at Ground Floor Theatre, located at 979 Springdale Road in Austin at the corner of Springdale and Airport Boulevard.  

Christopher Tierney recently assumed the iconic role of Johnny Castle tonight in the North American tour of Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage in Chicago, where it ran through August 30. This marks the launch of the second year of the hugely successful national tour which will go on to play markets including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, Nashville, Des Moines and Denver this season.
