The Young Vic Theatre and JMK Trust have announced Ewa Dina as the recipient of the 2026 JMK Award, which offers early career directors the opportunity to direct a full-scale professional play.

This April, eleven 18-25 year olds will make their professional theatre debut as part of Tara Theatre Young Company. They will present a fresh production of ‘What Fatima Did…’ by playwright Atiha Sen Gupta.

The JMK Trust today announces the eight shortlisted theatre directors, and the designers they partnered with, in the running for the 2024 JMK Award – Dipo Baruwa-Etti, Adam Karim, Zoe Murtagh, Josh Parr, Joanna Pidcock, Zoë Templeman-Young, Amelia Thornber and Sam Woof.

With Noël Coward's Private Lives currently running until 27 May, Donmar Warehouse Artistic Director Michael Longhurst and Executive Director Henny Finch have announced full casting for the world première of Jack Thorne's play When Winston Went to War with the Wireless. 

All new production photos have been released from  the upcoming revival of Noël Coward’s Private Lives directed by Michael Longhurst, that runs at the Donmar Warehouse from 7 April until 27 May.

Caissie Levy will lead the London premiere of Next to Normal at the Donmar Warehouse beginning this summer. The production runs 12 August – 7 October 2023.

Artistic Director Michael Longhurst and Executive Director Henny Finch have announced the next two shows in the Donmar's 30th birthday season, along with lead casting for the previously announced Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical Next To Normal.

Armed with a state education, a karaoke machine and a dance mat, an unrehearsed guest performer takes a nostalgic romp through the last 20 years of education and pop music. Education, Education, Karaoke follows one class from 2000 through to 2020, and as every year goes by the guest performer chooses a number one hit song from that year which is matched up with either a monologue, karaoke challenge or dance mat routine.

Greenwich Theatre's new summer repertory season is completed with a new version of Pinocchio by Anthony Clark, adapted from the novel by Carlo Coloddi. Directed by the venue's artistic director James Haddrell with design by Cleo Pettitt, the show follows the walking, talking puppet on a series of adventures as he learns to take responsibility for his actions and say 'sorry'.

Greenwich Theatre's production of The Wolves of Willoughby Chase, adapted from Joan Aiken's novel by Russ Tunney, has finally opened at the South London venue, having been postponed from Christmas 2020 and then delayed by isolation challanges.
