The producers of Peter and the Starcatcher, the five-time Tony Award-winning play by Tony Award-nominee Rick Elice, announced today that Starcatcher has assembled a special behind-the-scenes team to help raise awareness and funds for men's health issues by letting their moustaches grow throughout the month of November as part of Movember.
Following the success of the first "Get Out the Vote" event on October 14th, Broadway for Obama founders (and Broadway siblings) Celia Keenan-Bolger (Peter and the Starcatcher) and Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Newsies) in association with Women For Obama have announced another "Broadway Gets Out the Vote" Phone Bank, to be held on Monday, October 29, from 6:30pm - 9:30pm at the offices of Telsey + Company (311 West 43rd Street, 10th Floor).

CAROLS FOR A CURE is the annual two-disc holiday CD compilation of original songs and holiday classics which benefits BC/EFA. These CDs boast the best voices from the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway and national tours. A full track list for this year's 14th edition has not yet been announced, but the cast of Broadway's PETER AND THE STARCATCHER was already hard a work this week recording their track for the album. Directed by Tony Award-winner Roger Rees and Tony Award-nominee Alex Timbers, Peter and the Starcatcher began performances on March 28, 2012 and opened April 15, 2012, and is playing at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street).

The producers of Peter and the Starcatcher, the five-time Tony Award-winning play by Rick Elice, today announced "The Thing You Did" Initiative, which will provide people with the opportunity to have their inspirational stories told on a Broadway stage. Through this initiative, which was inspired by First Lady Michelle Obama's remarks at the 2012 Democratic National Convention, members of the public are invited to share a personal story of a time in their life when someone reached back to help them achieve a goal, or a time when they reached back to help someone else achieve theirs. Stories will then be selected to be told onstage by the cast after specific performances throughout the month of November.

Deadline.com reports that 'Hunger Games' director Gary Ross is set to helm Disney's upcoming film adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson's PETER AND THE STARCATCHERS. The novel's stage adaptation is currently running on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
