The producers of Peter and the Starcatcher, a new play by Tony Award-nominee Rick Elice, announced today that a new block of tickets are now on sale, through January 6, 2013. Directed by Tony Award-winner Roger Rees and Tony Award-nominee Alex Timbers, Peter and the Starcatcher began performances on March 28, 2012 and opened April 15, 2012, and is playing at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street).
Cast members of Peter and the Starcatcher, including Celia Keenan-Bolger, Matthew Saldivar, Adam Chanler-Berat, Carson Elrod, Matt D'Amico, John Sanders, Betsy Hogg and Orville Mendoza today headed Off-Broadway to see SkippyJon Jones, the new children's musical written by their co-star, Kevin Del Aguila (Smee). In honor of the occasion, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg has officially proclaimed July 11, 2012 as "Peter and the Starcatcher Day" in New York City.

Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters will host the fourteenth annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, sponsored by the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and with additional sponsorship by the New York Times, the event will take place on Saturday, July 14 in Shubert Alley, the heart of the Broadway Theater District (located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenues). The festivities begin at 3:30 p.m.; celebrity presentations of pets from animal shelters citywide will take place between 5-6:30 p.m.
