The Kennedy Center today unveiled an all-star lineup and new producers for the 21st annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, which this year will celebrate Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Under the direction of the creative team from Done + Dusted, the Kennedy Center's new producing partner for the Mark Twain Prize, the cast will feature many of Louis-Dreyfus's admirers, friends, and collaborators, including Stephen Colbert, Bryan Cranston, Tina Fey, Ilana Glazer, Tony Hale, Abbi Jacobson, Keegan-Michael Key, Kumail Nanjiani, and Jerry Seinfeld. The live Gala Performance will take place on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. ET in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall, and will be taped by WETA Washington, D.C.

The Official Trailer for Disenchantment kicked off the panel for the highly anticipated new series from Matt Groening at San Diego Comic Con 2018 on Saturday, July 21st at 5:30 PM PT. The trailer features a medieval inspired re-recording of David Bowie's hit song“Rebel Rebel.” Allie Goertz (MAD Magazine / Everything's Coming Up Simpsons podcast) moderated the panel discussion that followed with creator Matt Groening, showrunner Josh Weinstein and cast Eric Andre, Nat Faxon, John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, and David Herman along with Claudia Katz from Rough Draft animation studio.

Comedy Central today released its 2018-2019 development slate, including two series pick-ups and five pilot orders. The slate is headlined by orders for sketch series Alternatino with Arturo Castro and stand-up series This Week at the Comedy Cellar and was announced by Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen, executive vice presidents and co-heads of talent and development, Comedy Central.

Comedy Central today announced a comprehensive development deal with Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson with a 'first look' at content created and/or developed for television by Glazer and Jacobson, both together and independently. The deal with the multitalented creators, stars, directors and showrunners of the hit series Broad City, which will return for its fifth and final season in early 2019, also extends across all of parent company Viacom's television networks. Three projects already in development at Comedy Central under the new deal include Mall Town USA, Platinum Status, and Young Professionals.
