The cast and creators of the Tony nominated musical Hands On A Hardbody were cheered and celebrated when they performed at Birdland on Monday night during the weekly Jim Caruso's Cast Party open mic extravaganza. Co-writer Amanda Green (Tony-nominated for her Hardbody work, as well as Bring It On), Tony nominee Keala Settle, as well as Kathleen Monteleone, Jim Newman, and Jay Armstrong Johnson all sang from the show, guaranteeing some future record sales just from the few hundred folks enjoying Cast Party. Two-time Tony Award-winning singer/actress Christine Ebersole joins jazz violinist Aaron Weinstein and his trio for Strings Attached, a special late-afternoon performance at 92nd Street Y on Thursday, May 16 at 4 pm. Ebersole and the trio showcase classics standards from the '20s and '30s by Fats Waller ("Jitterbug Waltz"), Cole Porter "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye"), Johnny Mercer ("This Time the Dream's on Me") and George Gershwin ("Shall We Dance"). Strings Attached debuted in November 2011 at a sold-out engagement at Birdland Jazz Club; this performance is 92Y's annual Kathryn W. Stein Memorial Concert.

This past week, Klea Blackhurst, Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch brought holiday cheer to the iconic music room Birdland, with their "Swinging Birdland Christmas." For the third year in a row, the performers were accompanied by John Hart on guitar, Carmen Intorre on drums and Paul Gill on bass, along with special guest jazz violinist/comedian Aaron Weinstein.

Feinstein's at Loews Regnecy will close its Fall 2012 season with the return of the club's founder MICHAEL FEINSTEIN and two-time Tony Award winning Broadway and TV star Christine Ebersole from tonight, December 23 through New Year's Eve.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed "Best of New York" by New York Magazine and "an invaluable New York institution" by The New York Post, will close its Fall 2012 season with the return of the club's founder MICHAEL FEINSTEIN and two-time Tony Award winning Broadway and TV star CHRISTINE EBERSOLE from December 23 through New Year's Eve. Their duet show will feature classic standards and Broadway hits, in addition to rarities from the Great American Songbook. Feinstein will perform selections from The Gershwins and Me, his new CD and book from Simon & Schuster, currently on the Los Angeles Times Best-seller list. Feinstein's longtime Musical Director John Oddo will lead the all-star band. All shows take place at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

Birdland has announced the third year of "A Swinging Birdland Christmas," starring Birdland regulars Klea Blackhurst, Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch. This will be a limited engagement of 6 performances, Friday, December 21 through Tuesday, December 25. All shows are at 6pm, except for the Monday and Tuesday, with 7pm and 10pm shows.

After receiving more than 3,000 nominations once BroadwayWorld.com announced it's first-ever New York Cabaret Awards in early October, BWW is now pleased to announce it's final nominations ballot in 20 categories. Now it's time for all you cabaret performers and fans to vote for the best singers, musicians and shows of the year. Voting will continue until December 31 and winners will be announced in early January.
