The Laurie Beechman Theatre is very pleased to announce the continuation of VOICES FROM THE GREAT WHITE WAY, featuring one night only concerts from some of Broadway's leading talents. The series runs March 2 - May 31. Each concert will begin at 7pm. There is a $25 cover charge, as well as a $15 food/beverage minimum. NSMT alumni from Broadway and the NYC television community will be appearing at Joe's Pub and The theatre at Saint Peters, home of The York Theatre Company in New York City.The not-for-profit North Shore Music Theatre (NSMT) in Beverly, MA is facing severe financial difficulties. The NSMT has provided performing arts and educational programming to millions for 55 years. Effects of the crumpling economy, lower than expected donations and ticket sales all season long have left the theatre unable to cover its operating costs - a national decade-long trend that is impacting theaters across the country. In light of the current situation, the NSMT alumni from Broadway and the NYC television community will be appearing at Joe's Pub. Brian Usifer and select members of the NSMT orchestra will play as well.

IMPRESSIONISM starring Jeremy Irons and Joan Allen Begins Rehearsals 1/20

Rehearsals for the new American play IMPRESSIONISM starring Tony Award winners Jeremy Irons and Joan Allen will begin on Tuesday January 20 in New York. The production, which will be directed by Tony Award-winner Jack O'Brien, will begin preview performances on February 28 and open on March 12 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45 Street). The cast features Marsha Mason, Andre DeShields, Michael T. Weiss, Aaron Lazar, and Margarita Levieva.

The New York Times is reporting that Andre De Shields, Aaron Lazar, Margarita Levieva, Marsha Mason, and Michael T. Weiss will join Tony Award winners Joan Allen and Jeremy Irons in the world premiere of Impressionism, a new American play by Michael Jacobs. The production, which will be directed by Tony Award-winner Jack O'Brien, will play the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, reports Times.
