Sunfish, the award-winning musical by the songwriting team of Michael Cooper and Hyeyoung Kim has been selected to open DIMF (Daegu International Musical Festival), the largest international Musical Theatre festival in the world, Monday, June 17, 2013. Performances run at the Daegu Opera House through June 23rd.

The event was for an inspiring, new partnership between Boardman Productions and Seeds in the Middle, a 501c3 charity empowering students and schools in the obesity epidemic to get all the resources they need to get healthy. The sold-out Pump Up The Volume concert takes place at Joe's Pub tonight, June 25, 2012 at 9:30pm. Recently added to the performer lineup are Harris Doran (The Actors' Fund's Hair), Claybourne Elder (Bonnie & Clyde), Gideon Glick (Spring Awakening), and Caren Lyn Tackett (Hair). Film star Samantha Mathis, who appeared in the movie version of Pump Up The Volume, will also make a special appearance at the concert.

On Monday, June 25, 2012 at 9:30pm, a cast of Broadway performers will gather at Joe's Pub to sing songs from Pump Up The Volume, the new rock musical based on the 1990 film starring Christian Slater about a pirate radio shock jock who shakes up a small town.

This winter Matt Murphy Productions presents its fourth national tour of Virtually Me! (www.virtuallyme.org). Taking place at Wi-Fi High in Anywhere, USA, Virtually Me! is an entirely original, educational musical for today's blogging, emailing, Facebooking, IM'ing, and texting generation. Originally directed by Jeremy Dobrish, this touring production has been remounted by Gina Rattan, and features choreography by Wendy Seyb, music by Jeff Thomson, lyrics by Jordan Mann, and a book by Jeremy Desmon and Jeremy Dobrish.

Berkshire Theatre Festival has announced additional casting for this summer's productions. The new cast members include Tony winners and nominees, multiple veterans of Broadway and Off Broadway as well as many returning BTF alumni. Husband and wife Stephen R. Buntrock and Erin Dilly will be working together on the world premiere of In the Mood. Jenny Powers and Angela Robinson have joined the cast of The Who's Tommy. Rachel Bay Jones of Broadway's Hair will take on the famed title character in Sylvia. Tony Winner Mia Dillon is joining Broadway and BTF alum C.J. Wilson and the previously announced Rebecca Brooksher in Tennessee Williams's serious comedy Period of Adjustment. Film actors Christian Coulson and Amari Cheatom will take on the world premiere two-hander Dutch Masters.

Virtually Me! tackles the issues surrounding technology today in a fun and entertaining way, reminding us all that 'while these modern tools are totally awesome and keep us in the know, at the same time, they need to be used responsibly. After all, sometimes the most important part of logging on is knowing when to log off.'
