Grammy Award-Winning Conductor JoAnn Falletta Will Lead The Buffalo Philharmonic at Carnegie Hall in October

On Monday, October 3, 2022 the multiple Grammy award-winning conductor, JoAnn Falletta, will conduct the Buffalo Philharmonic in their return to Carnegie Hall for a tribute to Lukas Foss, in honor of his 100th birthday (August 15, 1922 – Feb 1, 2009). Presented by Trinity Wall Street and Opus 3 Artists, the 7pm concert is a gift to New York City with free admission. 

Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra Launches 2022-23 Season With QUIET CITY, September 11

Cape Cod Chamber Orchestra (CCCO), the Cape's professional collaborative orchestra, launches its Season Five performances with the concert “Quiet City,” on Sunday, September 11, from 3 to 5 pm at Pilgrim Congregational Church, 533 Rt. 28, Harwich Port. The orchestra is conducted by Founding Music Director Matthew Scinto.

Today, the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) announced it has extended Gianandrea Noseda's contract as Music Director for an additional two seasons, through the 2026–2027 season, his tenth at the helm of the NSO.

Wolf Trap Opera Announces World Premiere Of Edward W. Hardy's BORN FREE

Wolf Trap Opera has announced the world premiere of BORN FREE, composed by Edward W. Hardy with lyrics by American poet and writer Margaret Walker. BORN FREE, a song cycle based on four poems by Margaret Walker (Sorrow Home, Lineage, The Struggle Staggers Us and Southern Song) for soprano, violin, and piano, is a newly commissioned work by the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts.

Queens College Concert Honors Late Jazz Great Jimmy Heath, May 21

The Jimmy Heath Scholarship Fund Concert, performed in tribute to late Queens College Music Professor Jimmy Heath, who in 1986 founded the Master of Music in Jazz Studies offered by the college's Aaron Copland School of Music; he helped to create the jazz program curriculum and taught there for over 20 years.

Midland Center For The Arts Celebrates 50th Anniversary
