London Wicked Welcomes New Cast July 16

From Monday 16 July 2007 the record-breaking musical Wicked at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre will star: Kerry Ellis (Elphaba), Dianne Pilkington (Glinda), Oliver Tompsett (Fiyero), Susie Blake (Madame Morrible), Nigel Planer (The Wizard), James Gillan (Boq), Andy Mace (Doctor Dillamond) and Katie Rowley Jones (Nessarose).

Four-time Emmy award-winning Rhea Perlman, best known for playing feisty and quick-witted waitress Carla Tortelli in the American sitcom classic Cheers, one of the most successful US sitcoms of all time, will make her London stage debut as she joins the cast of the West End hit comedy, Boeing-Boeing on 25 June to play long-suffering housekeeper Bertha.

Hodge Joins London 'Boeing-Boeing' Cast, April 30-June 23

Patricia Hodge (the West End's Noises Off) will join Matthew Warchus' critically acclaimed production of Boeing-Boeing, taking on the role of Bertha, April 30-June 23. Boeing-Boeing, translated by Beverley Cross from Mark Camoletti's original, opened at the Comedy Theatre in February.

WICKED Breaks West End Box-Office Gross Record

The hit musical WICKED, at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre, has set a new all-time record for a single week's gross in the West End. For the week 26-30 December 2006, WICKED grossed a record-breaking £873,020. WICKED was the West End's top-selling show during Christmas week and also set a new Box Office record at the Apollo Victoria for the third time:

A New Witch Flies in to Theatreland

Idina Menzel gave her final performance as the unusually green witch, Elphaba, in the London production of the hit musical Wicked on the 30th December at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. Her three-month contract, which paid a record-breaking $30,000 per week, is now over and Kerry Ellis takes over the role from 1st January 2007.
