Roland Martin, host and managing editor of TV One's Washington Watch, will lead the network's live HD coverage that airs on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 11:00am to 2:00pm ET.

THEATERSPEAK will present an installation of more than 70 award-winning and emerging playwrights writing new plays in the storefront window of the Drama Book Shop during store hours, August 13th - September 1st, In each two-hour time slot, a different playwright will write their play on a laptop, while the screen shot of their computer is visible to the street, opening their process up to the passerby on the street. Admission is $8 online a day in advance at www.beowulfalley.org or $10 at the door. Children 4-12 are always $5. The box office phone number is (520) 882-0555. Hollywood Arts Council Raises $75,000 At 24th Annual Charlie Awards

The Hollywood Arts Council presented their 24th Annual Charlie Awards in the historic newly refurbished Blossom Room of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, home of the first Academy Awards ceremony, at a Sold Out luncheon on Friday, March 19, 2010. Nyla Arslanian, President of the Hollywood Arts Council said: 'We raised $75,000 at the event which will benefit the Council's arts programs for underserved children in the community. This is a challenging year economically, but our kids' art programs must continue; Hollywood's at-risk children can't wait for times to get better. We are very grateful to our 250 event attendees and sponsors for their generous support.'
