It's common knowledge that Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, is a timeless classic which has been read and loved by millions. Many of us have read the book because our middle school English teacher required it, but we discovered we couldn't put it down.

SMALL ACTS OF LOVE: A Comedy Cabaret About the Harmful Consequences of Falling in Love

Fiona Scarlett hates 'love'. Useless, nasty little emotion. Downright dangerous if you ask Romeo or Juliet. The world is in love with being in love but it's time for a reckoning and Small Acts of Love is your perfect weapon. Arm yourself with anti-love stories that will toughen your hide and leave you jaded and bitter before you can say 'gin martini'. The lovepocalypse is coming in this night of hilarious story-telling and song. Directed by the award-winning Sarah Vickery.

BWW Review: LIZZIE at City-Theater

Aisle Say would never be so trite as to suggest the goth-rock musical LIZZIE, now playing 'live' at City-Theatre is a 'killer' or 'cutting edge' or 'slays the audience'. Of course not. I am much too circumspect and erudite to cave to formulaic nonsense.

BWW Review: THIS RANDOM WORLD Soars at Austin Playhouse

This Random World, the new Steven Dietz play that kicked off Austin Playhouse's 18th season on September 8th, is a well paced and finely built show. The production at Austin Playhouse, utilizing a handful of skilled actors and minimalistic set, deftly crafts a consistently interesting and entertaining show that captivates the audience as it unfolds.

BWW Review: West Coast Premiere Of MARION BRIDGE Shines To A Sold-Out Crowd

The neon blue Son of Semele sign casts faint light on to the outdoor lobby where the audience gathers until the house opened. As you walk inside the theatre, it is as if you were entering your high school's black box building. Thirty-five seats rest in front of the stage, and all but one were filled by the time MARION BRIDGE premiered Saturday night in Rampart Village.
