Kim Yaged is an award-winning writer with a background in theater, television, and film. Her hilarious one-woman tour de force "Hypocrites & Strippers" was nominated for a Best Actress Artsie, and an excerpt of the play was published in Applause Books’ "One on One: The Best Women's Monologues for the 21st Century". The animated trailer for "Hypocrites & Strippers" screened at festivals in New York, Chicago, Austin, Tampa, and Rio de Janeiro. "Coming Full Circle", the newest short based on the play, was accepted to Spike & Mike's Festival of Animation as well as festivals in Australia, Canada, and throughout the United States. Kim received the Kennedy Center’s Meritorious Achievement Award for her play "America". "America" also won the Audience Award at the Downtown Urban Theater Festival in New York and was part of House Special at ODC Theater in San Francisco. Kim’s chamber opera "www.love" was showcased by the New York City Opera and performed at the University of Michigan and Alma College. This production won four Ann Arbor News "Best of” Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Production. Kim's short stories and poems have been published by Random House, Cleis Press, Ballantine Books, and Arsenal Pulp Press.
