Tonight, The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues presents an all-new edition to benefit Juxtaposition Arts. Nine writers paired with an esteemed group of actors to write, rehearse, perform and produce new pieces in just 24 hours. Beginning at 6 PM ET, the new monologues will be published, one every 15 minutes.
Critically acclaimed playwright Christie Perfetti Williams's new play, THE MAGAZINE, will have its World Premiere at The Chain Theatre in Midtown Manhattan. The timely drama which is mixed with comedy will have a limited run, April 2 - 11. Opening night is slated for Thursday, April 2. Williams's recent New York City productions include The Werewolf of Washing Heights (Carnival Girls Productions) and An Appeal to the Woman of the House (Retro Productions).
The Kraine and UNDER St. Marks represent almost half of this year's Fringe BYOV offerings.
Producers Anita Greenspan and Tony Hawk with Executive producer Adam Zotovich announced today that a new musical adaptation of the 2007 Nick Hornby novel, SLAM, is in development. This new project will feature a book by Tony Award Nominee Kyle Jarrow (SpongeBob SquarePants the Musical) with music and lyrics by Mark Mothersbaugh (prolific film composer, co-founder of new wave band Devo). Pro-skater Tony Hawk, who is featured as a character in the novel, is a producer on the project and is slated to develop skate choreography.

The Play Company (PlayCo) is pleased to announce chefs and artists scheduled for Cabaret Gourmet: The Ultra Violet Party, on Monday, April 9 at Espace in mid-town Manhattan.
