Steven E. Kimbrough – Entrepreneur / 3D Coordinator / Podcast Engineer / Film Producer / Director / Writer, was born in Chicago, grew up in Indiana and now splits his time between New York, NY and Beverly Hills, CA. Kimbrough has become one of Hollywood’s up and coming Producers. His slate of film projects varies from feature films to short films to animations to 3D stereoscopic, 2D to 3D conversion to music videos and even documentary film. Kimbrough has written, produced, directed and edited a (:30) commercial currently running on Time Warner Cable in 4 Los Angeles markets. He is currently writing 3 comedy action films and is developing 2 3D animation films and 3 documentary films. Comedian, Steven E. Kimbrough mixes his inner city experience with Mid-western sensibility to make people laugh. He’s been at it for decades, turning his improvisational skills, writing skills, facial expressions, and insight into a comedic science. He draws from the crowd’s energy and experiences, making every show a unique and intimate performance. Audiences love Kimbrough’s comedy bits about dating, marriage, children, divorce, sports, relationships, growing pains, wearing a kilt, traveling, and politics. Kimbrough just recently launched his pop-up comedy club (My Laugher’s Comedy Club) in North Hollywood at the Ark Theatre. Kimbrough produced a comedy fundraiser the SIA (Survivors of Institutional Abuse) at the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club. Kimbrough also played a pivotal role in bringing “Last Comic Standing” to the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA for Season Four in 2006. He did audience warm up for four live-to-tape productions of the NBC show. Kimbrough was the Executive Producer for “Laugh is Hope, Inc.” of New York, NY and Long Beach, CA thereafter. He is Executive Producer of the “Perfect Vodka 24-Hour Film Challenge,” “Aprilfest Comedy Marathon,” and the “Aprilfest 24-Hour Film Challenge.” He won First Runner-Up for the Cannes 24-Hour Film Challenge 2005 and became Executive Producer of the Challenge for the following four years. Steven is also the Executive Producer of the “Long Beach Comedy Festival” and the “Long Beach 24-Hour Film Challenge,” as well as the “Marbella 24-Hour Film Challenge.” Kimbrough founded the “International Day of Comedy” (April 5th). Kimbrough won Showtime’s “Funniest Person in Indiana” Competition and appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show for “Laugh-A-Minute” on April Fool’s Day. He has performed with Jerry Seinfeld, Whitney Houston, 3 Doors Down, Godsmack, Fuel, Nickelback, Our Lady Peace, The Temptations, Patti Labelle, Cold, Shades Apart, American HiFi, and Dave Chappelle.
