BIO
Sophia Lynn is a NYC based triple threat performer originally from Berkeley Heights, NJ. Sophia just returned from performing with American Gothic Performing Arts Festival where she appeared in Sweeney Todd, Annie, and Appalachian Spring. As a Soloist, Sophia has appeared at 54 Below, The Green Room 42, The Triad, and Don’t Tell Mama. Selected Musical Theatre highlights: Shrek, Matilda, Beauty and the Beast, and Spelling Bee. In the world of dance, she has enjoyed working on The Producers pre-pro (featured tap dancer) and the music video, “Vintage Wine”, amongst others. Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company’s gala, A MAMMOTH RENAISSANCE, was a night to remember, as more than 350 attendees at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library joined in honoring social activist, political strategist, philanthropist, and modern “Renaissance man” Luis A. Miranda, Jr. More than $565,000 — the most in Woolly’s history — was raised to support its work towards a radically inclusive theatre industry.

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces three additional commissioned playwrights as a part of Power Plays, an ambitious initiative commissioning and developing 25 new plays and musicals from a diverse mix of writers, composers and lyricists over the course of 10 years. Playwrights Kia Corthron, Idris Goodwin and Octavio Solis join previously commissioned playwrights with projects underway, including Aaron Posner, whose Power Play JQA, an inquisitive and provocative look at America's sixth president, enjoys its world premiere in Arena's Arlene and Robert Kogod Cradle March 1 through April 14, 2019.
