Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam Street), under the direction of Producing Artistic Director Darren Lee Cole, will add several new shows to its current stellar season, including: Simon Lovell's DON'T PRESS CHARGES with performances beginning Saturday, March 15th (presented Saturdays at 5pm); the previously announced EXTRAORDINARY EXTREMITIES with performances beginning Friday, April 4th; Doug Knott's LAST OF THE KNOTTS with performances beginning Friday, April 25th (presented Fridays at 7pm); and Debra Ehrhardt's JAMAICA FAREWELL with performances beginning Sunday, April 27th (presented Sundays at 6:30pm). The aforementioned productions will join BILL W. AND DR. BOB, which recently announced an extension through June 1st , and Matt Graham's current trio of shows - THIS TOO SHALL SUCK, ANAGRAMAZON and STAND UP AGAINST EVERYTHING! - presented in rotating order Wednesdays at 8pm.

The SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street, NYC) announced today that tickets are on sale for the next show in its fall 2012 lineup: Ingenious Nature. Ingenious Nature is a new theatrical mix-tape, written and performed by Baba Brinkman, the Canadian rap artist, writer, and creator of The Canterbury Tales Remixed ("Delightful!" The New York Times) and The Rap Guide to Evolution (2011 Drama Desk Award Nominee), both of which played at the SoHo Playhouse in 2011. Ingenious Nature begins previews on Friday, November 23rd, opens Wednesday, December 5th and closes Sunday, January 6, 2013.

Named by Orson Welles as "the most original mind in magic", world famous mentalist and master magician Max Maven makes his Off-Broadway debut in the summer's most mind bending supernatural attraction, MAX MAVEN: THINKING IN PERSON. Previews began at The Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex (312 W. 36th Street -1st floor) on June 12th. Presented by Alexander Marshall and Giles Cole, Maven's electrifyingform of on-stage mentalism, officially opened last night, June 14th and continues until Sunday, July 1st. The New York Times has confirmed that The Soho Playhouse will close MADE IN HEAVEN on Monday, December 7 to make way for the transfer of EMPEROR JONES by Eugene O'Neil. EMPEROR JONES will begin performances on December 15th.

Following its sold-out run, The Irish Repertory Theatre Co. Inc. and Darren Lee Cole Theatricals are set to present The Irish Repertory Theatre's production of Eugene O'Neill's THE EMPEROR JONES - starring John Douglas Thompson as the charismatic Brutus Jones -- Off-Broadway for a strictly limited 7-week engagement, with previews set to begin Tuesday, December 15 prior to an official press opening December 22, at SoHo Playhouse.
