The legal battle has ended between Bay Area theater's top producers, and has led to the ousting of operator of the Curran Theater, Carole Shorenstein Hays, according to Datebook. The Curran has been turned over to Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG).

THE LION KING Sets New House Record at SHN's Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco


The North American tour of Disney's The Lion King broke the SHN Orpheum Theatre box office record (for the highest grossing week of a Broadway engagement), grossing $1,674,059 for eight performances the week ending November 25.

AMERICAN IDIOT Cast Appears on 'Talks at Google' Series, 6/14, to Livestream Online


SHN (Shorenstein Hays Nederlander Theatres) and Google have announced a special live presentation with the cast of AMERICAN IDIOT as part of the Talks at Google series at their Mountain View headquarters. This very special event will take place this Thursday, June 14th at 3pm pst.

New Release of 13 to Include Cut Songs and Accompaniment Tracks


Ghostlight Records is set to re-release the original cast recording of 13. The re-release will include 4 cut tracks from the show, as well as some additional material and edits done by composer Jason Robert Brown. In addition, the recording will have 2 discs, with the second one featuring accompaniment tracks of the songs from the show.

Situation Interactive Set to Open LA Office


Variety reports that Situation Interactive, the interactive marketing agency that specializes in live fare, including Broadway shows, will open a Los Angeles office in August. West Coast clients for Situation include L.A.'s Center Theater Group and the Bay Area's Shorenstein Hays Nederlander. Headquartered in New York, the company also has a Vegas office as well according to Variety.

SHNSF Premiere of 'EVER AFTER' Musical Cancelled, Creative Team Continues to Develop Project


BroadwayWorld has learned that the planned San Francisco 'Best of Broadway' series world premiere engagement of the musical EVER AFTER, based on the popular 1998 Twentieth Century Fox film has been indefinitely postponed. Shorenstein Hays Nederlander Theatres, overseen by Carole Shorenstein Hays and Robert Nederlander, was set to present EVER AFTER this April as part of their 2009 season. EVER AFTER producer Adam Epstein (Hairspray, The Wedding Singer, Cry-Baby) said in a statement, 'The previously announced production of EVER AFTER has been moved from this season's line up as the creative team continues to develop the musical for a future production.'
