New Release of 13 to Include Cut Songs and Accompaniment Tracks

Ghostlight Records is set to re-release the original cast recording of 13. The re-release will include 4 cut tracks from the show, as well as some additional material and edits done by composer Jason Robert Brown. In addition, the recording will have 2 discs, with the second one featuring accompaniment tracks of the songs from the show.

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Jason Robert Brown's 13 (originally released in Fall 2008) has now been updated to include enhancements made to the show by Brown with book writers Robert Horn and Dan Elish after its Broadway premiere for upcoming regional and school productions around the globe. Included in this new double-disc version of the show are two new songs, "Being A Geek" and "Opportunity," and Brown's original demos of "A Little More Homework" and "Getting Over It" (which was included in the show's L.A. production), as well as nine karaoke tracks so that you can sing along. Two of the songs are even presented in different keys so that boys with changing voices have an option.

The recording is currently available for preorder on the Sh-k-boom website and will be released on November 27th. The CD is $24.99 with the option to order the CD along with the sheet music for $50. Orders may be made through the Sh-k-Boom website at www.sh-k-boom.com.

13, with music and lyrics by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade, The Last Five Years) began previews on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 and opened on Sunday, October 5, 2008. The show closed January 4th, 2009 after playing 22 previews and 105 performances.

With a book by Dan Elish and Robert Horn, the musical is directed by Tony Award nominee.

Jeremy Sams and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli. Tom Kitt is the Music Director.

Ghostlight Records, a division of Sh-K-Boom Records, released the original cast recording of 13 on Tuesday, November 25, 2008. The CD is produced by Jeffrey Lesser and Jason Robert Brown, and Executive Produced by Sh-K-Boom / Ghostlight Records President Kurt Deutsch and Bill Rosenfield.

The 13 Original Cast Recording, which was recorded before performances began, was released in digital form on Tuesday, September 30th and impressively debuted at #2 on the iTunes Soundtrack chart and number #38 overall.

The musical is produced on Broadway by Bob Boyett, Roger Berlind, Tim Levy, Ken Davenport, Ted Hartley, Stacey Mindich, Jane Bergère, Broadway Across America,Sharon Karmazin, Carl Moellenberg, Tom Miller, True Love Productions/Olympus Theatricals, Center Theatre Group in association with Shorenstein Hays Nederlander and The Araca Group.
