WFSB Channel 3's Dennis House and Kara Sundlun will co-host the 19th annual West Hartford Mayor's Charity Ball, which will be held May 12, 2018 at West Hartford Town Hall.  The gala benefits two local charities, Playhouse on Park and The Town That Cares. Proceeds from last year's event covered important operating expenses for Playhouse youth programming, and helped The Town That Cares meet a significant uptick in requests for the Food Pantry.

Auction items include an exclusive tour of ESPN followed by dinner at Joey Garlics, tickets for Yard Goats and UConn Women's basketball games, tickets to the Hartford Symphony, and a private wine class for 20 at Total Wine and More.

The 17th annual Mayor's Charity Ball will be held at West Hartford's Town Hall on Saturday, May 14 from 6:00 PM to midnight.

Attendees of the 16th Annual Mayor's Charity Ball will most assuredly enjoy an evening out under the stars complete with drinks, dinner and entertainment; their presence, however, promises to make a lasting difference, supporting two esteemed non-profit organizations. Hosted by the Honorable Scott Slifka, the event's proceeds are gifted to Playhouse on Park and The Town That Cares.

The 15th Annual Mayor's Charity Ball successfully raised both funds and awareness for Playhouse on Park and HopeWorks, Inc. On the evening of Saturday, May 10, West Hartford's signature event welcomed a record number of attendees and culled over $53,000 for the two worthy non-profit organizations. The Grand Tent, courtesy of Taylor Rental Party Plus, looked beautiful on the lawn of Town Hall. Guests enjoyed a gourmet meal by Max's Catering and danced the night away to the swing band Eight to the Bar.

The Mayor's Charity Ball 2014 promises to be the event of the year, and two special guests will be making an appearance at the gala. John Mastroianni, Director of Bands at Hall High School and CT's 2014 Teacher of the Year, will be this year's Guest of Honor. Another special guest will be Jim Altman of FOX CT, who will be acting as Auctioneer.

The Hartt School Community Division (HCD) presents the timeless holiday ballet classic The Nutcracker Friday, December 14, at 7:30 PM; Saturday, December 15, at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM; and Sunday, December 16, at 2:00 PM. All performances are held in Millard Auditorium at the University of Hartford, 200 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford. Tickets will be made available to the public on November 12, 2012. Admission to each performance is $30 for adults; $15 for students 12 and under; and $20 for other students and senior citizens with ID.
