Attendees of the 16th Annual Mayor's Charity Ball will most assuredly enjoy an evening out under the stars complete with drinks, dinner and entertainment; their presence, however, promises to make a lasting difference, supporting two esteemed non-profit organizations. Hosted by the Honorable Scott Slifka, the event's proceeds are gifted to Playhouse on Park and The Town That Cares.

Starting at 6:00pm tonight, May 9, the night begins in the West Hartford Town Auditorium with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction featuring acting classes, retail services, restaurant gift certificates, and even exotic vacations.

Guests then make their way to the Grande Tent on the Town Hall Green for a sit-down dinner and wine provided by the notoriously talented chefs of Max Catering. Dancing and a cash bar follow, along with a live auction.

Students of the Hartt School's Jackie Mclean Institute of Jazz and the Metropolitan players provide the music, and Playhouse on Park's very own stop/time dance theater will deliver a tantalizing performance.

This year's celebration also features an online auction for those who are unable to attend in person. Interested parties may visit www.BiddingForGood.com/MCB.

Playhouse on Park is the award winning West Hartford destination for the performing arts, dedicated to making professional theatre accessible to our community through education, outreach, and performance opportunities. This autumn kicks off its seventh season.

The Town That Cares fund strives to improve the quality of life and self-sufficiency of vulnerable, low-income West Hartford residents through financial assistance, crisis intervention and prevention programs.

Seating for this amazing event is limited, and tickets are available at $175.00 each. Guests may also reserve a table of 10 - the more the merrier, of course - for $1750. Tickets are available for purchase at www.TheMayorsCharityBall.org. For more information, call 877-439-2929 or email info@TheMayorsCharityBall.org.
