BIO

Santo D. Marabella, the 2018 Reading Eagle Entertainment Newsmaker of the Year, is a writer, producer, director and educator. He has written 3 full-length plays, several one-act plays, a musical and short-films. His current projects include his plays, "Getting COMPLETE" (2026) and “Rocky Road Ain’t Always Sweet” (2024); as well as a feature documentary, Il Mio Posto a Tavola - My Place at the Table (2025). He was a producer of This Is Reading (2017) by Lynn Nottage. Marabella is a rostered Teaching Artist for the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a member of the Dramatist Guild of America, The Lambs and the Theatre Communications group. He co-founded the Greater Reading Alliance for Community Theaters and served as its chair for more than three years. In addition, Marabella has produced two feature films and created and written concepts for two TV pilots.
