Samuel Wood

BIO

Sam Wood is an early career playwright based out of New York City. Credits include: "The Overwhelming Urge to be Completely Destroyed", presented at the Kraine Theater (2023), developed at the Vino Theater in Brooklyn, and "Bruiser" in development for Theater Write Now, to be presented at the Balance Arts Center (2025). "August, 25 cents" was perfomed at Iowa State University (2024).

Originally from Wisconsin, Sam's undergraduate work has been presented at several festivals in the state, "Three Witches" for the 2018 Marcia Legere 10 Minute Play Festival (winner) and at Undergraduate Theater Association's "Monocles Not Included" festival (2017), "The Vacationers", University of Wisconsin's 10 Minute Play Festival (2019), as well as producing his own slate of eight short plays, "Back and Back and Back and Forth" (2019).

Jonathan Church Theatre Productions and Global Creatures are delighted to announce the cast for A MONSTER CALLS.  The production will play Rose Theatre from 24 March to 9 April 2022.  It will then play Bristol Old Vic from 13 to 23 April, followed by the Kennedy Center, Washington from 25 May to 12 June 2022.

Local Residents Star in Bush Theatre's THE NEIGHBOURHOOD PROJECT at BBC Television Centre

Last week, the Bush Theatre joined forces with theatre company Look Left Look Right to present devised original work THE NEIGHBOURHOOD PROJECT. Local Hammersmith & Fulham residents, who collaborated with writers Molly Taylor and Samuel Wood on the piece, performed four sold-out shows at the former BBC Television Centre building in Shepherd's Bush, attracting an audience with over a third local residents and over 15% students/under-26s.
