For DIRECTOR'S CHOICE, the fourth program of Pacific Northwest Ballet's 2013-2014 season, Artistic Director Peter Boal selects from his roster of acquisitions and increases them by one: The captivating mixed-bill program will feature a much-anticipated world premiere by Alejandro Cerrudo, resident choreographer of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. CONFESSIONS AND CONVERSATION-the newest work by the celebrated playwright, performer and longtime La MaMa artist Jean-Claude van Itallie -- will debut at La MaMa's Ellen Stewart Theatre (66 E. 4 St. in Manhattan) for four performances only September 20 to 23. Written and performed by Mr. van Itallie, CONFESSIONS AND CONVERSATION is directed by Rosemary Quinn. CONFESSIONS AND CONVERSATIONS is presented by La MaMa, one of the first productions of the internationally-renowned theatre's 51st season.

The NYC Festival of Young Artists & Leaders a free outdoor festival featuring over 200 young artists, ages 12-21

Rehearsals start today, Thursday, July 2, for Slipping, written by Daniel Talbott and directed by Kirsten Kelly. Presented by Piece by Piece Productions and Rising Phoenix Repertory in association with Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Slipping begins performances for its New York premiere Tuesday, July 28 at 8pm at the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place. The opening night is set for Tuesday, August 4 at 7pm.

(Annex Theater), 66 East Fourth Street, Manhattan, to support the rebuilding of the century-old theater barn at Shantigar, the unique center for theater, meditation and healing located in Rowe, MA.
