The Obie Award-winning HERE has announced programming for Puppetopia, a presentation of HERE’s Dream Music Puppetry program. Puppetopia will run May 11–22, 2022 in the HERE Mainstage & Dorothy B. Williams Theatres (145 Sixth Avenue, New York, NY 10013).

Guerilla Opera Receives Commissioning Grant For Female Composers Award For Composer Emily Koh

On July 16, 2020 OPERA America announced that Guerilla Opera received an award from OPERA America's Opera Grants for Female Composers: Commissioning Grants program, supported by the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation for composer Emily Koh. This award is to directly commission the creation and support the premiere of her first evening length opera, HER:alive|un|dead: a media opera.

The OPERA America's Opera Grants for Female Composers: Commissioning Grants program panel has awarded The American Opera Project $9,000 toward the commissioning of Rima Fand for the creation and premiere of Precipice, an object theatre/chamber opera.

NACL Theatre presents the New York City premiere of SHAKESPEARE'S WILL by award-winning Canadian playwright Vern Thiessen, whose acclaimed play Of Human Bondage premiered at Signature Theatre in a Soulpepper production in 2017. It stars Tannis Kowalchuk as Anne Hathaway, the woman who married William Shakespeare.  Directed by Mimi McGurl, performances run though April 1 at HERE.

NACL Theatre's Site-Specific COURAGE Begins Tonight
