Taking a page from the NCAA College Basketball Tournament's 'March Madness,' famed comedy venue Carolines on Broadway will present its 14th annual 'Carolines Comedy Madness,' a five-round comedy competition in which 64 comedians will go head to head with industry judges and audience members deciding who advances to the next rounds and who will be crowned the tournament champion. 'Carolines Comedy Madness' events will take place on March 2, 11, 18, 25 and 30, at 1626 Broadway, between 49th and 50th Streets, in New York City. Tip-off for rounds 1, 2, 4 and 5 is at 7:00 p.m. and tip off for round 3 on March 18 is at 9:30 p.m.

Breaking news from the diner! Six-time Grammy nominee and composer of WAITRESS, Sara Bareilles will be at the National Theatre to host "Cast Album Karaoke" following the 8pm show this Saturday, May 19. Limited seats for that performance remain. Interested audience members at that show will be chosen at random for the chance to sing any song from WAITRESS on the National Theatre's historic stage accompanied by the show's band.

'No Name... & A Bag O' Chips' comedy / variety show producer  Eric Vetter recently announced three June 2017 shows at Otto's in Manhattan with the first on Friday, June 9th to feature Reese Waters (Letterman)   Mike Brown (Comedy Outliers) and Tracy Marhal (NY Underground Comedy Fest).

Jamie deRoy's Friar Membership and her long running Jamie deRoy & friends Variety Show are about the same age.  Jamie became a member in 1988 along with Liza Minnelli, Joan Rivers and Brooke Shields.  Jamie brought this edition of the show to the Friars Club last night and the Frank Sinatra Dining Room was filled with Friars and Jamie's friends as they dined and were entertained by some of the best in the business.

This Thursday, Dec. 25, a Christmas Day tradition continues as ABC and ESPN will combine to present a marquee NBA tripleheader.

NFL Kickoff 2014 on NBC this Thursday, Sept. 4, features Russell Wilson and the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks hosting Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers at CenturyLink Field, in Seattle, Wash. A pre-game concert will feature performances by Grammy Award-winning singer, song-writer, producer, and The Voice judge, Pharrell Williams, as well as Seattle-natives and Grammy Award-winning band Soundgarden from a specially constructed stage outside of CenturyLink Field. Select portions of the concert will air on NBC. Coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Long time Friar Jamie deRoy brought her long running and hugely successful Jamie deRoy & friends variety show to the Milton Berle Room at the legendary Friars Club last night The friends in this addition of Jamie's show were Christina Bianco, Daisy Jopling, Reese Waters, Wade Preston, Penny Fuller and Anita Gillette. Ron Abel was music director and Barry Kleinbort directed.
