Five writers have been selected as winners of the 2012 Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting competition. Each writer will receive a $35,000 prize, the first installment of which will be distributed at a gala dinner in Beverly Hills on November 8.

Ten finalists, consisting of nine individual screenwriters and one writing team, have been selected for the 2012 Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting competition. Amber Stone was chosen as the Gypsy Robe Winner for Grease, which opened on Sunday, August 19th at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street) after beginning previews on July 24th.
