BWW Reviews: Flash Back to the 70s With 9 TO 5 at York Little Theatre

The Dolly Parton movie comes to life on the YLT stage

York Little Theatre to Present 9 TO 5, Begin. 4/25

This hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is based on the hit 1979 movie. Music and lyrics are by Dolly Parton who starred in the original film. Enjoy a side-splitting tale of laughter, friendship and premeditated workplace revenge! Go on the job with three female co-workers as they conspire to take control of their company and learn there's nothing they can't do...even in a man's world. Hysterical consequences ensue when their plan spins wildly out of control. The Broadway and pop score is both upbeat and inspirational with Parton's irresistible style.

York Little Theatre to Present WILLY WONKA, 11/15-24

York Little Theatre presents WILLY WONKA the musical November 15-17 and 21-24. The show features music from the original CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY film that debuted in 1971, including PURE IMAGINATION, I'VE GOT A GOLDEN TICKET, I WANT IT NOW, CHEER UP CHARLIE, and more.

York Little Theatre promises side-splitting laughter on their main stage with their summer blockbuster hit THE PRODUCERS, opening July 12. Called the 'biggest hit in Broadway history,' THE PRODUCERS won more Tony Awards than any other musical (12), including Best Book, Best Score and Best Musical. Based on Mel Brooks' 1968 film of the same name, this raucous, in-your-face musical comedy features a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer (Randy Staam) and his mild-mannered accountant (Lyle Hieronymus), concocting a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history, thereby milking their backers out of millions of dollars...but the ludicrous show becomes a smash hit! Adding to the crazy mix of characters is a curvy blonde bombshell office assistant Ulla (Rachel Ann Morgan), an unstable playwright Franz Liebkind (Andrew Matsuer), hack director Roger De Bris (Christopher Quigley) and his flamboyant assistant Carmen Ghia (Bradlee Alan Gorrera).
