York Little Theatre will present 9 to 5 The Musical April 25-27 and May 1-4, 2014.

This hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is based on the hit 1979 movie. Music and lyrics are by Dolly Parton who starred in the original film. Enjoy a side-splitting tale of laughter, friendship and premeditated workplace revenge! Go on the job with three female co-workers as they conspire to take control of their company and learn there's nothing they can't do...even in a man's world. Hysterical consequences ensue when their plan spins wildly out of control. The Broadway and pop score is both upbeat and inspirational with Parton's irresistible style.

Violet Newstead is played by Pam Eshler. Rachel Morgan struts her figure as the shapely Doralee Rhodes, originally played by Dolly Parton in the movie. The role of Judy Bernly is played courageosly by Tatiana Dalton. Becky Wilcox longs for her boss in the show as the uptight Roz Keith. Robert Haag plays the egotistical Franklin Hart. The show is directed by Rene Staub and Sara Smith. Music direction is by Chalet Harris. Choreography is by Andrew Smith.

Performances are held at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and 3pm on Sundays. Patrons can save $2 off regular admission price if they purchase tickets prior to opening night.
