Midsommer Flight continues its fifth season of free Shakespeare programming, presenting a remount of last year's hit, a free indoor production of the comedy Twelfth Night, by William Shakespeare, directed by Midsommer Flight's Producing Artistic Director Beth Wolf and music directed by Midsommer Flight's Resident Music Director Elizabeth Rentfro in partnership with the Lincoln Park Conservatory. This early winter production of Twelfth Night is presented in the Show House room at the Lincoln Park Conservatory, 2391 N. Stockton Dr., now through December 18. Midsommer Flight continues its fourth season of free Shakespeare programming, presenting for the first time a free indoor production of Shakespeare's delightful comedy Twelfth Night in partnership with the Lincoln Park Conservatory. Dedicated to presenting high quality, accessible productions of Shakespeare's plays, Midsommer Flight is a proud arts partner with the Chicago Park District. This early winter production of Twelfth Night will be directed by Midsommer Flight's Founder and Producing Artistic Director Beth Wolf and presented in the Show House room at the Lincoln Park Conservatory, 2391 N. Stockton Dr. The limited holiday production runs from December 4 through 19: Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and due to popular demand, two new performances Sunday, Dec. 6 and Sunday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m.  Performances are free and open to the public, but reservations are encouraged due to limited seating. A lot of exciting theatre is happening this summer in the DC area. Here are some things to check out!

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company announces the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's The Totalitarians, a high-energy political comedy. The play explores the vacuous double-speak we invent for political gain and how this language insinuates itself into our everyday lives, relationships, and culture. Nachtrieb's work was last seen at Woolly with Season 29's Boom (2008), which went on to become the most widely produced new play in the country. Woolly Company Member and Andrew W. Mellon Playwright in Residence Robert O'Hara-the playwright and director of Season 31's Bootycandy (2011) and the playwright of Season 29's Helen Hayes Award winning Antebellum (2009)-will direct.
