Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, PA is offering a special opportunity for New York City area theatre lovers to see its acclaimed production of “The Bridges of Madison County” starring Kate Baldwin (“Finnian's Rainbow,” “Hello, Dolly!') and Nicholas Rodriquez (“Tarzan,” “The Sound of Music” national tour) with a new, bus and theater package.

You most likely know today's subject Nicholas Rodriguez from his many area appearances at Arena Stage. Who could forget his Billy Bigelow in Carousel or his Freddy Eynsford-Hill in My Fair Lady or Curly in Oklahoma!? The latter garnered Nicholas a Helen Hayes Award for Best Actor in a Musical.

Maestro LUKE FRAZIER and THE AMERICAN POPS ORCHESTRA - Washington, DC's innovative hometown orchestra - hosted the closing concert of their successful inaugural season. Make Someone Happy: A 60s Cocktail Party at the George Washington University's Lisner Auditorium on Friday, May 6th. Special guests included theater and screen stars Erik Altemus (Pippin on Broadway), Nova Y. Payton (Helen Hayes Award winner for Hairspray), Nicholas Rodriquez ('One Life to Live' on ABC-TV, Helen Hayes Award winner) and Hayley Travers (Children of Eden at the Kennedy Center), in addition to dancers, choreography and full costumes. Philadelphia's Broadway dreams came true for the fourth consecutive summer when The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) partnered with The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts to present their Summer Performing Arts Intensive, July 30 through August 5, 2012. Jason Robert Brown, Tony Award-winner for Parade, and a faculty of Broadway professionals taught master classes during the week to aspiring Philadelphia area students interested in pursuing a career in musical theatre. Gifted jazz vocalist Jane Monheit sang the score of Cole Porter's Anything Goes to swinging new arrangements by bassist Mary Ann McSweeney at the Broadway at Birdland concert series on Monday, September 19. This event was a fundraiser for The Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative. Broadway leading man Marc Kudisch joined in on the fun with a hilarious duet and dazzling solo turn during the sold-out, jazz-tinged evening of music.
