Austin Shakespeare will return to the outdoor stage with Young Shakespeare presenting the romantic comedy Much Ado About Nothing at 8 p.m. July 9-11 and July 15-18 at The Curtain Theatre, Austin's replica of an Elizabethan theatre.

Six creative actors will bring to life scenes from the hero's epic adventures in Austin Shakespeare's new production of Homer's The Odyssey at the Long Center's Rollins Theatre. Daytime performances, Oct. 9-11 at 10 a.m., are designed for audiences in grades 6 to 12 and evening performances, Oct. 11-12 at 7:30 p.m. for families.

For its 9th season, Young Shakespeare, Austin Shakespeare's teen company, will transform Richard Garriott de Cayeux's outdoor Curtain Theater (7400 Coldwater Canyon Drive) into the Forest of Arden for a production of the romantic comedy As You Like It. Featuring auditioned actors performing Shakespeare's beautiful poetry, As You Like It will run Thursdays through Sundays at 8 pm, tonight, June 15, through June 25, 2017. OLD TIMES is an enigmatic play by Nobel Laureate Harold Pinter that centers on a trio of characters and produced flawlessly by Austin Shakespeare at Austin's Long Center.

Austin Shakespeare seats the audience in the round for Harold Pinter's Old Times at The Rollins Studio Theatre at the Long Center for the Performing Arts. This sensual, poetic and deeply unnerving drama is the 33-year-old company's first Pinter production. Austin Shakespeare brings Harold Pinter's sensuous language to life for the first time with Old Times, a mysterious drama about a love triangle and the seductive battle for power. Austin Shakespeare is kicking off the 2016-2017 season with a staged reading of Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall (Part I only), running September 22 - 25, 2016 at the Rollins Studio Theatre at the Long Center for the Performing Arts. Mantel's best-selling novel, which was adapted for stage by Michael Poulton, is a thrilling reimagining of life under Henry VIII with an unlikely hero at the center, Thomas Cromwell, the son of a blacksmith who rose to become one of the most powerful men in England. After a sold-out Broadway run and rave reviews, Austin Shakespeare is thrilled to produce the Southwest premiere of Wolf Hall with a fully costumed staged reading directed by Artistic Director Ann Ciccolella.

Celebrating its 30th year in 2014, Austin Shakespeare announces its new season starting with the acclaimed solo portrait of Emily Dickinson, The Belle of Amherst, starring Helen Merino (Hamlet) Nov. 14-Dec. 1, 2013; and Shakespeare's masterpiece, Othello, Feb. 12-Mar. 2, 2014; both performed at The Long Center's Rollins Theater, where Austin Shakespeare is a resident company. The season ends May 1-25, 2014 with Shakespeare's perfect romantic comedy, As You Like It. The company will return to Zilker Park for the 30th anniversary of 'FREE Shakespeare in the Park.'

Culminating its 29th Season, Austin Shakespeare presents Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, May 2-26, 2013, FREE to the public at the Zilker Hillside Theatre in Zilker Park, 2201 Barton Springs Road. This dark romance, fueled by the contrast between jealousy and joy, will be set in Latin America, staged with tango (choreographed by Gustavo Semplis of Esquina Tango) and will culminate in a Brazilian Carnaval with dancers and drummers from Austin Samba.
