SPANDEX, THE AUDIO MUSICAL Will Be Performed on Musical Theatre Radio Next Weekend


Listeners will hear the tale of Lorraine Stubenski, a gymnast who once 'lost her balance,' and shockingly failed to qualify for the Olympics; 20 years later, with the help of a newly taking-charge housewife and an Israeli fitness guru learning how to 'make aerobics,' Lorraine must face her onetime gymnastic partner and love interest, the diet-pill pushing Trip Allen, in the only place he might be vulnerable: the National Crystal Light Aerobics Championship, hosted by Alan Thicke.

SEUSSICAL Opens 1/30 at Gallery Players


Gallery Players continues its 49th season with the Seussical, the fantastic family musical based on the books of Dr. Seuss.  Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (Lucky Stiff, My Favorite Year, Once On The Island and Ragtime)  have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite characters, with a rich and dazzling score to create an almost entirely sung-through show that transforms the theatre into the Jungle of Nool, the Circus McGurkus, the invisible world of the Whos, and beyond.  Seussical will be helmed by Barrie Gelles, with musical direction by Trevor M. Pierce.  Opening night will be January 30th at 7:30PM.

Known as 'The King of Jukebox', and 'The Grandfather of Rock 'n Roll', Jordan's music appealed to everyone - regularly topping music charts - mainstream, top ten, and pop - from the 1930s swing era into the 1950's rock and roll revolution In Five Guys Named Moe playwright Clarke Peters has fashioned an exciting, exhilarating, and exuberantly loving tribute to Jordan and his music. The production will run at Broward Stage Door Theatre from December 10th through January 18th.

Fitness Expert Cara Castronuova Joins SPANDEX, THE MUSICAL, 5/25


Fitness expert and Golden Gloves winner, Cara Castronuova, former trainer on NBC's 'The Biggest Loser' will join the cast of Spandex, for a one-time-only performance on Saturday, May 25th at 8pm at the 777 Theatre, 777 8th Avenue, between 47th and 48th Streets.

SPANDEX Opens Off-Broadway 5/10


Beginning Friday May 10th, Spandex, a new musical for ALL SIZES, will begin a limited off-Broadway run at the 777 Theatre, 777 8th Avenue, between 47th and 48th Streets.
